Description
At least one mysterious presence troubles rehearsals at Chicago's Midwest Opera House, and sexagenarian Emma Winberry finds a hidden room and documents proving that the original building was a station on the Underground Railroad. When the group's archivist-historian is assaulted, Emma believes that she has two investigations to conduct, one on the mortal plane and one in the afterlife.
